I had to buy a belly band...

I am so bloated from the medication that I can not even button my pants any more. I went to target and bought a BeBand! This thing has been a life saver and I will be buying more!

If I am wearing my shorts or jeans I have to wear it, I even broke out a pair of maternity pants... and when I am not wearing my belly band or Maternity pants I use the old hair tie trick

We are just 3 days away from the ultrasound and finding out if it is one or two babies.

What did you do to make your non maternity pants work a bit longer?

Beta results are back!

We have good news! The results are back and the numbers have raised just like we needed them to! All the levels have been exactly what we need them to be so I get to cut down my progesterone shot to only 1ml instead 2ml! This is great because that means my sides should stop hurting as bad.

I am sick as a dog. I got a prescription for Zofran and that has been helping so much. I have been able to eat and stay hydrated. It really has been a life saver.

We scheduled the ultra sound for October 2nd. We will be able to see if both Embryos stuck or if we only have 1 baby that stuck. We will also get to hear the heart beat (or beats)!

One big step done I am officially 5 weeks pregnant today! Only 35 more weeks to go!

I am 4 weeks 1 day pregnant today! So another 8 amazing months
that I get to keep this baby/babies safe before they
go to their mom and dad!

4 days left...

Yep that is right only 4 days before the blood test to find out where my HCG is measured so we can find out if the transfer worked or not! With that number you can guess if one or two stuck around but you don't know for sure until the ultrasound.

So what symptoms am I having today? I feel nauseous, all the time. I sleep, sleep and sleep some more than I am still so tired. I feel bloated, well I am bloated. I am so bloated. I can not even button up my shorts anymore, the medication is making me look (at least feel like I look) like I am a few months pregnant.

Just 4 days until we find out if I am pregnant or not!

6 days to go

You hear that just 6 days to find out if the little Embryos decided to stick around!

Today's symptoms are still nausea, I am so tired even after a full night of sleep I am just wiped. (TMI) Sore boobs. and terrible heartburn. I know what you are thinking those are all early pregnancy symptoms BUT they could all be symptoms of my medication too.

So basically if I feel like I am is kinda a guessing game. The medication I am on can give the exact same symptoms. So in 6 days we will find out is it medication side effects or pregnancy symptoms...

And I am off bed rest.

Yesterday was the first day I could actually move around. Friday and Saturday the only time I was allowed to not be laying down was the use the rest room. I was however allowed to be propped up at a 45 degree angle to eat. I thought bed rest would be awesome I mean my husband having to do everything I just get to lay and bed and relax.

It wasn't that easy. I wanted to get up and move around, I wanted to get my own water and make my own plate of food. But I held out and did complete bed rest for two days.

I am feeling Nauseous, but I am not sure if that is the babies making their home or if I am just catching a bug.

We are now on count down to blood test. Just 7 more days until the blood test (7 days from right now I will be at the clinic waiting to get my blood drawn!). I am so impatient I can not wait to see the results!

Day 1 post transfer

Transfer was yesterday and today I am on full bed rest. To write this I am laying down because I can't even sit. I can be propped up on two pillow max so a tiny tilt... I am only allowed to get up to use the bathroom. I am writing this on my laying stomach with the computer in front of me. Truly not the most comfortable position to type in.

The transfer went great Both of the embryos thawed perfectly! The actual transfer only took like 10 minutes.
The first picture is my lucky transfer socks,
Then my I really have to pee face,
The Embryo on the right is the girl,
And the Embryo on the right is the boy!

I feel like I should tell you that unlike some surrogates I will not be taking home pregnancy tests. So we really will not know if the transfer worked until the official blood test. That means friends and family please refrain from asking a million times if I am pregnant, I will update once S&J know the results.

So many emotions are tied into this so please just understand that not everything may be posted right away. I am going to try to keep posting often maybe not every single day anymore but I promise I will update often.

Today is the day!

Today at 12:45 I go into the clinic for my 1:30 transfer. I have been on meds for 40 days, that is 40 days of giving myself shots every single day, I have 65 more days of shots if these embryos decided to stay around (fingers crossed that they thing my uterus will be a good home for about 9 months)!
We have been using Oregon Reproductive Medicine they have pretty amazing success rates and were actually #1 in the nation in 2011! So I know that I am in good hands! YAY for a little bit less stress.

For those of you who do not we will be transferring two high grade embryos 1 girl and 1 boy! Isn't that amazing that they know the sex of the embryos! They have also been tested for genetic problems, So fingers crossed I wont have to as much testing and blood draws during pregnancy.
Please keep in your thoughts today and send those little embies sticky vibes!

Are you Team pink, Team blue, or Team twins?

Nerves

Tomorrow is the big day. I go in for transfer of S&J's Embryos. I am a bit nervous. Not scared nervous or what did I get myself into nervous, but excited nervous, and feeling a bit of pressure nervous.

I have been taking my medication to a T, all of my lab work has came back perfectly, but I just want this transfer to work so badly that I have made myself a bit nervous. I want this transfer to work so that S&J can have happy news and not another disappointment.

So today to help with the nerves I am going to keep myself busy, I am going to do all of our laundry, pack the kids bags for going to my parents. Premake the meals for this weekend so all my husband has to do is throw it in the oven. And try to relax.

It feels real now

It is just amazing how fast time has gone. I matched with S&J all the way back in October of 2013, so needless to say it has been a long road getting to where we are right now. We have had little bumps along the way but we are almost to transfer (just two days away).
The other night I was laying in bed awake, (insomnia is a side effect of one of my meds but we are dealing with it) and thought wow this is real I am going to go and get someone else's baby transferred into my uterus. I am going to be pregnant with S&J's child. That still just blows my mind. I just feel so lucky that I am able to do this for someone!
Now that everything is still ok with me, we just have to hope (and pray) that the Embryos thaw like they should and implant and grow like they should. S&J have been through so much trying to have a baby and I just really hope everything goes exactly as planned.

Just 2 days until Transfer!

PINEAPPLES!

I love eating Pineapple and when I was told to eat fresh pineapple before and after transfer, I didn't have to be told twice. Today I went to the store and bought two pineapples. Then had to google how to ripen a pineapple because the store didn't have any very ripe pineapples.

So a FYI if you need a pineapple to ripen the store it upside down! I did not know that until today, So random fact for today! So I bet you are wondering why do I have to eat pineapple. Well Bromelain found in pineapple and mostly concentrated in the core of the pineapple. Bromelain makes the uterine lining stickier so that way the Embryos have a better chance of Implanting. So I will be eating pineapple core and all.

If you have any yummy pineapple recipes Please share them with me!

More Blood Draws

Between shots and getting my blood taken I feel like a human pin cushion. Good news only 69 days of shots left... As most of you know we are doing a count of how many vials of blood I have gotten taken we are now up to 20 vials of blood taken in just 3 short months! and LOTS more still to be taken.

I did get my blood work back and all of my levels are exactly how they should be. All my medications are staying exactly how they are on my calendar! I am excited that we have had no issues!

4 days until transfer!
If you read this please comment below! I would love to know who is actually reading my blogs!
